A Lawyer’s 2026 Get Out the Vote Toolkit
Nonpartisan resources to promote free and fair elections, voting, and the rule of law
Why Help Get Out the Vote?
Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy and responsive government. It elevates citizens’ voices, protects their interests, and safeguards our democracy. Free, fair, and robust voter participation strengthens citizens’ investment in democracy and a commitment to the rule of law.
By virtue of our training, experience, oaths, and professional standing, American lawyers have a special responsibility to uphold the rule of law and strengthen democratic institutions. That responsibility includes securing unfettered access to the ballot, guarding against election interference, and encouraging broad-based voter participation throughout the country.
As a nonpartisan group of individual lawyers, bar associations, and democracy support organizations, the Nation of Laws Coalition has designed this Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Toolkit to help legal professionals meet their responsibility to support election protection and encourage public participation in the November 2026 elections.
