Model Bar Resolution
NOLC has developed this Model Bar Resolution on the Administration of Justice and Professional Duty for use by bar and other legal associations in advance of the 2026 midterm elections.
The administration of justice, the physical security of our legal institutions, and the rule of law are the foundational, nonpartisan pillars of our constitutional order. To support state and local bar associations in fulfilling their professional responsibilities, the Nation of Laws Coalition (NOLC) has developed a Model Resolution on the Administration of Justice and Professional Duty.
The resolution is written to be strictly nonpartisan. It focuses the oath-takers of our system, including independent judges, court officers, and election administrators. These individuals should be afforded a safe, secure workplace to execute their statutory duties without physical intimidation, and defending the fundamental enforceability of lawful court orders.
NOLC encourages members of local, state, and affinity bar associations to share this Model Resolution with their leadership and advocate for its adoption ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
